Chromebook Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

A Chromebook is a laptop or tablet running the Linux-based Chrome OS as its operating system. The devices are primarily used to perform a variety of tasks using the Google Chrome browser, with most applications and data residing in the cloud rather than on the machine itself. All Chromebooks released since late 2017 can also run Android apps. Some Chromebooks can run Linux apps. The first Chromebooks for sale, by Acer Inc. and Samsung, began shipping on June 15, 2011.In addition to laptop models, a desktop version, called a Chromebox, was introduced in May 2012, and an "all-in-one" device, called a Chromebase, was introduced in January 2014, by LG Electronics.

Jo shared his experience, "I am a college student currently enrolled in summer courses; one of which is an online course for human anatomy and physiology—therefore, I was in need of a device in order to complete the lab reports, read lectures, etc. I received my Chromebook, nicely packaged, there were some scuffs here and there, but that honestly did not bother me, since I was more concerned about the actual intrinsic qualities. Before I could even sign into the computer, I notice that many necessary keys did NOT work. Because of that, I was unable to sign in and had to continue as a guest...on my own laptop. The problem never went away, It was strenuous using this product because if I needed to use a certain key, I had to copy and paste the individual letter in order to sign into my email, campus portal, etc. I still have the laptop in my possession a week later and as I try to do an online exam, the laptop glitches in and out, automatically minimizing the screen and it literally would automatically go to the settings and turn my screen brightness to the lowest possible setting, causing the screen to go pitch black. Which was extremely stressful considering that this was repetitively recurring during my exam."

"They can\'t even run their operating system as intended. I\'m forced to use one for school and it is absolutely ludicrously horrible. The GUI will reboot randomly if the computer is under heavy load. Heavy load means loading up a heavy website with a few other tabs open. "
